Tamara was a member of the England squad for 4 World Cups, becoming a World Champion in 2014 and was selected as captain of England in the 6 Nations the following year. Tamara has been 6 Nations champion 7 times out of the 11 tournaments that she played in and last year was named in the ‘ITV Women’s World Cup 2017 Dream Team’ .

Tamara is now a full time rugby coach, and is working towards her Level 4 coaching award, which is performance coaching. As the only female working for the community department in the RFU in the North of England, Tamara has extensive experience of working in a very male dominated environment for a long time. Tamara started playing rugby 17 years ago when it was still seen as a game for men enabling her to build a unique perspective on the challenges faced in those environments.
